We’re a resident-led Big Local group, run by volunteers who live and work in Netherton.

In 2014, our area was given £1million to spend as part of the Big Local programme, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.  

We began our work by consulting with residents, to identify what was most important to them and what we should spend the Big Local money on.  

Since then, we’ve run all kinds of local events, from an annual fireworks show and community fun days to an outdoor cinema and holiday club. We’ve continued to engage with local residents and invested in projects that make a difference to people in the area, based on what they’ve told us matters to them – including a school sensory room, community garden and credit union.
